Medicine is Not You

If you happen to like your MD, and one or more of your specialists, as people, that's fine. If they treat you like a human being, terrific. But this article is not about personal relationships. It is about science, or the lack thereof.

Health, and sickness, are always personal. But when you get a blood test, the levels of the various constituents tested are put against "laboratory normals." These are not your normals. They are the normals of the general population, sort of. I say "sort of" because they may be based upon shoddy research that may not even reflect anything resembling the general population. (Sometimes the research is purposely shoddy to sell more drugs.) Even if the research defining a particular laboratory normal is scientifically valid as to the general population, that general population is not you. You end up being treated as Joe or Josephine Average.

What do I mean? Your healthy level of a particular type of white blood cell, or a certain liver enzyme or thyroid hormone, may be radically different from the so-called normal range. Levels in that normal range be be quite unhealthy for you.

Then there's the difference of you from you. Most values in the body will fluctuate from day to day, even hour to hour. That's why taking a particular hormone, of which you may be deficient, at the same dosage every day, is, by definition, incorrect for your body's needs.

In the end, your MD doesn't know what is normal for you. The lab doesn't know. The medical textbooks don't know. So who knows? Your own Innate Intelligence.

So the reasonable way to pursue "normal" for you.... health... is to be under regular chiropractic care, correcting Vertebral Subluxation Complex (VSC). This allows your Innate Intelligence to figure out and adjust all of your normals to you, personally.
