The second most important type of person to be under chiropractic care? The child.
"Huh? Little kids don't have backaches. Why do they need a chiropractor?" Well, first off, Chiropractic IS NOT about back pain, though most with back pain do get better with it. Chiropractic is about liberating your nerve system from THE most destructive factor to your health... Vertebral Subluxation Complex (VSC). This allows your body to heal itself, and to operate at a higher level... physically, mentally and socially. The trauma of modern medical childbirth usually results in VSC. So, when should a child get checked for VSC? Right after birth.
Why? VSC is a bad thing, a very bad thing. If you know that it may exist in your child, why would you want to wait to get it corrected? Realize that by the early correction of VSC, a baby is free not just to be healthy, but also to more fully express his or her genetic potential. Or, would you rather your child be less than he or she could be?
You see, once you know, it is just plain wrong NOT to get your child checked and adjusted, on a lifetime, wellness basis.
In case you're wondering what your pediatrician knows about Vertebral Subluxation Complex, the answer is nothing.
Oh, in case you're wondering who is the FIRST most important type of person to be under chiropractic care, it is the pregnant woman. Why? Because the state of her nerve system determines her health, and her health determines the health of her baby, developing inside.

STIMULUS PACKAGE FOR PEDIATRICIANS?
{I just sent this in as an op ed to the SF Chronicle}
AB2109
is a bill which recently passed the Assembly Health Committee. It is about the
right of parents to have their children opt out of some or all mandated
vaccinations. This bill will essentially take away that right of choice, making
the personal belief exemption null and void.
Currently,
a parent need only to ask for the exemption form at the child’s school or day
care, and sign it. What is already sleazy, on the part of the State of
California, is that the existence of the personal belief exemption is a fairly
well-kept secret. Most parents still think “No shots, no school,” and that’s
exactly how the authorities want to keep it. Now they want to shut down the
exemption entirely.
AB2109
requires a parent to spend the time and money to go to a pediatrician to get
“educated,” in other words, to get intimidated, into getting their children
vaccinated against their will. Contrary to the party line of the proponents of
the bill, it will be the rare pediatrician who will sign, because of their
strongly held belief in vaccination, and because of their concerns for
liability. Parents have had their children thrown out of pediatrician’s offices
because their children were not vaccinated. This is borne out by studies, and
by the testimony at the Health Committee hearing of scores of parents, many
with vaccine-damaged children. These parents told of being thrown out of two,
three, even seven pediatrician’s offices. Vaccinations, beginning with the
falsely named “well baby visits,” are the bread-and-butter of a pediatrician’s
income. They will not sign, so these children will be unable to attend school.
Contrary
to the “wonders of vaccinations” stories that you get so often, here’s the
facts. Vaccines do not produce immunity in a normal biological fashion. They
trick the immune system, with questionable biological material mixed with both
preservatives and substances known as adjuvants, designed to “boost” the immune
response. These substances….mercury, aluminum, formaldehyde, phenoxyethanol
(antifreeze), latex rubber, monosodium glutamate, etc., are all toxic, and have
no place being injected into a child’s body. How can any thinking person doubt
that serial (again and again) vaccination results in autism, learning
disabilities, meningitis, encephalitis, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, seizures and
other neurological conditions? Poison a brain, especially a developing brain,
and bad things will happen. Common sense.
It
has been a characteristic of totalitarian regimes, whether run by Hitler or
Stalin, to take the children and do what they please. And, they both used
Medicine as a tool of control and, sometimes, punishment. And now, here in
California, Big Pharma pays off Big Government to reap huge profits at the
expense of innocent children. The creepiest thing at the hearing? The legislators
in support of 2109 were totally unmoved by the suffering of those
vaccine-damaged children.
As I
said at the hearing, “I oppose medical fascism backed by voodoo science.”
When will we learn? When will parents stand up for their
children? Health does not come from a syringe of toxin-loaded vaccine. Worried
about infectious disease? Instead of fighting disease, pursue health! Feed your
kids well. Get your kids to a wellness chiropractor. Free their nervous system,
so that their immune system can function properly.
Thomas
Jefferson wrote, “When the people let the government tell them what foods to
eat and what medicines to take, their bodies will be in as sorry a state as the
souls of those who live under tyranny.”

Sneaky California Becomes Medically Fascist California, Charges Corte Madera Chiropractor
"The school is public. The child is not." - BJ Palmer, D.C., Ph.C.
It has long been a disgrace the extent to which the California "philosophical" vaccine exemption has been a well-kept secret. Otherwise intelligent, well-informed parents have been led to accept the lie of "No shots, no school." The law itself calls vaccination "mandatory," while is provides for this exemption. A parent will not find the exemption form with all the dozens of things on the counters and wall of the schools. A parent has to ask for the form, which is kept out of sight.
Now, our legislators are looking to gut even this semi-hidden parental choice. AB 2109 will force parents, looking to save their child from the dangers of some or all vaccinations, to spend money and time to go to the pediatrician. (Not every parent has a regular pediatrician. My wife and I didn't see any need for a pediatrician for our son. I adjusted him from birth. Did my son get any shot? No!!!!!!!! Not a one!)
At the pediatrician's office (if this bill goes through), the parent is to be "educated." The obvious intent is for the parent to be intimidated. At the very least, the parent will be inundated with inaccurate medical BS. Then, what if the pediatrician then refuses to sign?
Vaccination is not based upon science. It is based upon cultural norms based upon the deification of the medical profession and the grotesque avarice of Big Pharma, no matter what the price in sick and dead children.
You want protection against diseases for your children? That's what the immune system is for. Get your children adjusted, making sure that there is no interference to the nervous system running the immune system.
Whether a parent wants his or her children to be vaccinated, it is the choice of the parent, NOT the state.

The ALWAYS SICK Child by Corte Madera chiropractor Dr Harte
Does it seem like you’re always at the
pediatrician’s? Is your child sick almost constantly… colds, flu, earaches,
sore throats?
I understand. That was me as a child, back in the 50’s. I’d
get colds that just about ran into one another, most of the year. I’d get
terrible earaches, once so bad that I thought that I was going to die. I
remember asking my mother to bring me my pet turtle, “Mickey,” so I could say
goodbye to him. I had bad digestion, from top to bottom. I was taken to one
gastro-enterologist after another, and had many, many “G-I” X-ray series. (It’s
a wonder I’m not dead from all of that very serious radiation exposure.)
Strep throat was the most constant of my childhood
sicknesses. My mother took me to the doctor. I took the antibiotics, the strep
throat went away, and then it came back in a week or two.
Tonsils used to be the culprit, but that operation has been
discredited. Then came the tubes in the ears. That has fallen by the wayside
too. Popular antibiotics come and go, getting ever stronger and more risky as
the years go by. I know. You’re told that they are safe and effective. Better
look them up yourself.
I’ve looked on the net to see the latest that the
pediatricians have to offer, at least as an explanation. It’s the same old
stuff… wash your hands, and “germs are everywhere.” OK, it’s good to wash your
hands, but not overly so. All these germicidal soaps end up producing more
dangerous bacteria, and some are suspected of being carcinogenic. You are your kids
do not need more weird chemicals in your environment.
I’ve seen a lot of natural remedies talked about on various
blogs, to help kids who are always sick. Most if not all are safer than
antibiotics, but they are not the answer. Why? They are remedies… treatments.
They are designed to “stimulate” or “support” the immune system. What about if
a child’s immune system is over-stimulated? Then you get into auto-immune
diseases like asthma, Type I diabetes, eczema, etc. So, what to do?
Your “always sick” child needs to get checked for vertebral
subluxation, interference to his or her nervous system. Why? Because the
nervous system controls and coordinates every cell, tissue, organ and system in
the body, and adapts that body to the environment. This includes the immune
system. “Adapting to the environment?” That includes whatever “is going
around.” You get your child checked for vertebral subluxation, and corrected
for vertebral subluxation, by a straight chiropractor. (A straight chiropractor
is the real thing, from both a historical and philosophical basis. He or she is
not concerned with back pain. He or she is concerned with the body expressing
as much life force as possible.)
Bottom line? Kids that come to see me barely ever get sick.
When my son was in grade school and everybody else had colds, flu, coughing,
sneezing, he wouldn’t get sick. At worst, he’d feel a little off and say
“Daddy, please adjust me.” Twenty minutes later he’d be better.
Chiropractic does not fight disease. It allows the body to
express more health, more life.

MMPD: Marin Mercury Perceptual Disorder
As the Mercedes ad campaign, from a few years ago, went, “Perception is not always reality.”
There is a Marin-based group, GotMercury.org, which seeks to bring forth the unthinking prejudice of people who are so quick to blame every disease on alleged environmental problems. Does there exist areas of environmental contamination that may lead to adverse health consequences? Of course. But contrary to “what is good” for environmental organizations, the environment is far cleaner now than it has been in decades. Factories are no longer dumping raw chemicals into rivers and lake, nor are they belching unlimited toxic gases from their smokestacks. The gas we put in our cars has been unleaded now for decades.
Poisoning by mercury? The most dangerous source is from that “most trusted” source, your medical doctor. GotMercury.org specifically warns children and pregnant women about mercury ingestion. Do they think… do you think… that mercury is OK if your doctor says so? They are worried about one part mercury per million in fish, which must go through processes of the digestive system. How many parts per million does a child get when he or she is taken to the pediatrician for three to five vaccinations at a time, injected directly into their little bodies? The average child now gets 71 vaccinations by kindergarten. And what about pregnant moms, that are urged to get flu shots every year, and now pertussis (whooping cough) shots? How much mercury do those developing babies get, through maternal circulation? To what ill effects?
Consider that, in the vaccines, besides the mercury and questionable biological content, there are numerous other toxins, including aluminum, formaldehyde, anti-freeze (phenoxyethanlol), latex, MSG, and beta-propriolactone. When asked about the skyrocketing rates of autism, Type I diabetes, juvenile arthritis, learning disabilities, and asthma, the “medical experts” will cite either the environment or some genetic factors. Has the human genome changed, radically in the last two generations? No. This is ridiculous.
Environmental cause? Fish? Look to the internal environmental catastrophe of mass serial vaccination. You’ve seen those fish-warning posters in restaurants? How about vaccine warning posters in pediatricians’ offices? How can M.D.’s poison you to health?
Yes, perception of health matters, even in allegedly wholistic-thinking Marin, is dysfunctional. Time to re-think health dangers, and solutions. Solutions should include your personal advancement of health, which should include proper nutrition, regular exercise, proper rest, good attitude, and a nervous system without interference (achieved through regular wellness chiropractic care).

Pediatricians Can't Read?
Just got this an a PDR (Physicians' Desk Reference) update:
Parents Still Giving Cough, Cold Meds to Kids Under 2: Poll
Many caregivers, doctors not heeding FDA warning about dangers of over-the-counter drugs
WEDNESDAY, Feb. 16 (HealthDay News) -- Many American parents of children aged 2 and younger still give over-the-counter cough and cold medicines to their kids despite U.S. Food and Drug Administration warnings to the contrary, researchers have found. In response to research linking over-the-counter (or OTC) cough and cold medicines to poisoning or death in hundreds of children ages 2 years and younger, the FDA said in 2008 that the products should not be given to children in this age group.
In addition, studies have shown that these medicines have little benefit in controlling symptoms.
A new national poll of over 300 parents of children ages 6 months to 2 years found that 61 percent of parents gave OTC cough and cold medicines to their children within the last 12 months.
In addition, more than half of the parents said their child's doctor said the medicines are safe for children under 2 years, and about half reported that their doctor said the medicines are effective, according to the results released Feb. 15 by the C.S. Mott Children's Hospital National Poll on Children's Health.
********************************************
So, do you still think pediatricians know what they're doing? They don't even follow their own guidelines, warnings, etc.
Trust your children's health to Chiropractic. Safe. Sensible. Who else wil correct their subluxation, allowing them to heal and to more fully express their genetic potential? You can't find genetic potential in a bottle of pills, or some neurotoxic vaccines.

MMPD: Marin Mercury Perceptual Disorder
Today's from page of the Marin Independent Journal ad an article about this little environmental group based in Forest Knolls that "went undercover" to test fish sold in Marin for mercury levels. (Undercover? Were the fish armed? No, only finned.)
The absurdity of this obsession, coupled with the anti-obsession with mercury in vaccines, the real health hazard, propelled me to send the following op editorial to the Marin IJ.
Here ya go:

Chiropractic vs. Insane Medical Cultist
The beginning of November, the Pacific Sun did a cover story on teen suicide. With typical allopathic (medical) wacked-out thinking, the article was touting the use of anti-depressants, while they are known to INCREASE suicide rates in teens and young adults. In the Physicians' Desk Reference, there is a "Black Box" warning to this effect. The black box is the most serious warning, beyond which a drug would be pulled from the market.
So, I wrote a letter to the editor. (See previous blog post.) Then, the following appeared in this week's Sun:
"ARE YOU SUBLUXED TO THE CHALLENGE?
Once again, Don Harte pushes his aggressive [me?] chiropractic attitude; this time about depression. Once again, another foolish practititoner believing in magic.
While I actually agree with Harte about some of the issues surrounding teen depression, he states he has "100 percent authority." Chiropractors trained in neurochemistry? Now that's funny.
This is just another of Harte's ficticious beliefs that chiropractic can solve any problem. Harte, face it, "chiropractic subluxation" [huh?] was a revelatory concept completely devoid of reality. This fundamental precept of chiropractic cannot be demonstrated by X-ray or autopsy - a fact admitted by chiropractic schools. Now Harte wants us to believe that these practitioners have the knowledge to deal with depression?
By the way, Harte, you malligned my credentials the last time you raised your hackles about my letters to the editor. I have a Ph.D. in neurophysiology from UC Davis and I teach human physiology at both the College of Marin and Dominican University. Your pseudo "doctor" title does not give you carte blanche to talk about every aspect of the nervouis system. Chiropractic is a neuromuscular scam that has no ability to diagnose and relies on the patient telling the practitioner where the pain lies. Here's a challenge for you, Harte. I'll send you patients. You will know that they are from me.Some will have pathology, some won't. The Pacific Sun can monitor the experiment. Up for the challenge, chiropractor? I doubt it."
OK... I hereby declare this "Be Kind to Unbalanced Academics Week." So, I sent this response off to the Pacific Sun today:
I'd really love your comments on this. Would you like to see academic gladiatorial combat? Would you bring popcorn?

LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
12/3/10
Amazing... I write a letter to the editor in response to the Sun’s cover story on teen suicide, bringing out the well-established fact that the very anti-depressants used to treat depression are known to increase suicide in teenagers and young adults, in the hope that that knowledge may save a young life or two. Instead of simple agreement or disagreement, or some semblance of scientific/academic discourse, I am met by a crude, baseless tirade, attacking not only myself, but my entire profession. Racist-like hate is the tool of Dr. Waldman, while his goal is mindless defense of the status quo of the Pharmaceutical-Medical-Governmental Complex..
Dr. Waldman dares call Chiropractic a “neuromuscular scam.” Really? How about medical professionals, all very respectable, in their white coats, making psychiatric diagnoses with the vaguest of parameters, prescribing medications that cause the death of children? What kind of scam is that? What about the credibility of the research, and the approval process, and the very thin level of understanding of neurochemistry, upon which these dangerous psychotropic drugs are based?
So, a neurophysiology professor from a community college attacks me in the realm of real-life clinical applications? That is truly funny. Yes, Dr. Waldman, chiropractors do study neurochemistry, as well as neurophysiology and neuroanatomy. It is pathetic when a man of some education is so bereft of wisdom. It is one thing to know facts. It is quite another to have the wisdom to put them into practical context. It is yet a higher step to put those facts, and that wisdom, into a system that actually improves the lives of one’s fellow human beings. This is what Chiropractic has done. This is what at least parts of Medicine, particularly pediatrics and psychiatry, have failed at.
As to Dr. Waldman’s “challenge,” it merely underlines his total lack of understanding of Chiropractic, and his gross arrogance that Medicine is the only system to be considered. Chiropractors do not diagnose, nor do we treat disease. You want to send me patients to diagnose? (Why do you have patients, since you are not a medical doctor?) That would be like me sending you people to adjust.
Chiropractic cannot be understood, or judged, within the paradigm of Medicine. It is different. Yes, we take the same basic sciences in school. Of course, the clinical courses are different. Most importantly, the INTENT of Chiropractic is fundamentally different from that of Medicine.
So, Dr. Walman, you want a challenge? How about a public debate? Perhaps the Pacific Sun would like to sponsor that. You feel lucky today? Well, do ya, professor?
PS: Dr. Waldman took my “100% authority” quote totally out of context. Here it is, in context: “I can say with 100% authority that it is infinitely safer to entrust your child’s health to a straight chiropractor, to keep that nervous system without interference, functioning at a higher, healthier level.” Only the most deranged medical cultist would attempt to argue with that.
PPS: I admit it. I am “aggressive” with the truth.

Teen suicide
This week, the Pacific Sun did a cover story on teen suicide. Sad stuff, but the usual party-line medical drivel doesn't help. In fact, it often hurts.
This is what I sent in as a letter to the editor:
Pacific Sun
LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
11/5/10
Your teen suicide article struck me, in large part, as irresponsible and dogmatic.
Why advise people to get “professional help” when that help is more of a risk than help? In several places in the article, the praises of anti-depressants were sung. I know that some people don’t read the warnings that come with these allegedly safe prescribed drugs. And it seems that the so-called experts just don’t care. Their dogma is that prescribed drugs are safe and effective. This is unscientific nonsense.
Look it up! Virtually all of the anti-depressants bear warnings about suicide ideation in teenagers and young adults. Then, there is the widespread practice of loading up kids on prescribed psychotropic drugs as young as two years old… the ADHD drugs (Ritalin, Adderall, etc.) and SSRI’s (anti-depressants). By the time these poor kids are five or six, they are often diagnosed as bi-polar, and put on anti-psychotics. Does anyone have any idea what this sort of merciless chemical warfare has upon the developing brain of a child?
BEFORE the tragedy of teen suicide, parents should think twice before allowing their children’s minds to be chemically warped. Last time I looked, the brain was a part of the nervous system. I can say with 100% authority that it is infinitely safer to entrust your child’s health to a straight chiropractor, to keep that nervous system without interference, functioning at a higher, healthier level. That certainly won’t add to this teen suicide problem, and it may very well help.
NOT SENT TO THE PACIFIC SUN:
Frankly, I think that the pediatricians and psychiatrists that wrote prescriptions that resulted in teen suicides out to be charged with manslaughter. At the very least, their medical licenses should go into the shredder.
That's my stand. What do you think?
