It's weird when you hear both sides of the political spectrum saying the same thing. In this case, both sides are just plain stupid.
Both sides are going after Republican candidate for President Michelle Bachman because she attacked another Republican candidate, Gov. Rick Perry, for mandating the vaccination of Texas girls with Guardisil. Guardisil is made my Merck Pharmaceuticals, allegedly to prevent cervical cancer from HPV (human papilloma virus). Some years back, I wrote an article about this in the Marin IJ.
Both sides are labeling Ms. Bachman "anti-science," and, by inference... stupid. The truth is that, on this issue, both sides are stupid, and both sides are indifferent to freedom when it comes to health issues. In the end, they believe in Big Brother in a White Coat.
Is it stupid to think that parents have the right to determine the course of their children's health care?
Is it stupid to consider that serial dosing of children with a witch's brew of questionable biological material and various neurotoxins might produce serious health consequences/
These same stupid politicians, from both sides, probably think that it's stupid to get your child checked for Vertebral Subluxation Complex.
Well, we can figure out what's stupid and what's not. Check out this exchange on my site. And check out my recent appearance before the Marin Board of Supervisors.

Corte Madera Chiropractor Offers Fair Trade Health Care
"Fair Trade"... "Fair Deal"... We are all looking to be treated properly, with respect, and to be able to trust whoever we do business with. In short, we fairness. That's bottom line. Hopefully, on top of that fairness is quality... results... even excellence.
Do you get these things in your health care? Come on, be honest! When you are being examined or treated in your doctor's office or in the hospital, are you seen as YOU, or just a "gall bladder," or a case of diabetes or migraines or depression, ready to be doctored in a cookbook fashion? Don't know what I mean? Well, the gall bladder person goes to the general surgeon, to get that "unnecessary*" organ removed.Diabetic? You get the latest diabetes drug, until that one, too, is pulled off the market. (You might look up Avandia.) You suffer from migraines? No, they won't figure out that YOUR HEAD IS ATTACHED TO YOUR NECK. You will get the seventh or eight drug "to try." (And they call this "science?") You're depressed? You get the next greatly advertised anti-depressant, and if they didn't work, you move on to anti-psychotics. (Yes, Amblify is an anti-psychotic drug.) You are not you in that medical office. You are your diagnosis. And what if your diagnosis is wrong?
Who's paying the bill? If it's the insurance company, Medicare or Kaiser, it is the "bean-counters" who determine what kind of care you get, NOT your doctor. As the old saying goes, "He who pays the piper call the tune."
It is this lack of shoulder-to-shoulder trade that has allowed medical costs to skyrocket beyond all reason. Why? "It's nobody's money," while our whole society is going broke. Take the cost of a hospital bed, one night. $2500,. maybe $3000, for just the bed and the three meals of dog food. No doctor visits, no drugs, no tests, no procedures. Just the bed and the food. YOU WOULDN'T PAY THAT KIND OF MONEY FOR A NIGHT IN A HOSPITAL. Just think what kind of magnificent hotel suite in some exotic location, what fine food, $3000 a night would buy. But "it's nobody's money." Just like when you get the hospital bill, and you're charged for drugs you didn't take. Fair trade? I think not.
Go to a chiropractor "on your list," and what do you get? No exam, no X-ray, no scans, and 3-6 visits, which will not allow change in anyone. You will end up saying "I tried Chiropractic but it didn't work." No, what you got wasn't Chiropractic. It was third-rate physical medicine, doled out by faceless bureaucrats. You didn't get well. Maybe you didn't pay anything, or only $5 a visit. In the end, you got squat. No fair trade here.
In my book, the first item in fair trade, fair business, is clarity! When you come to my office, it is made 1000% clear what Chiropractic is, and is not, how the body really works, the tragedy of Vertebral Subluxation Complex, and what the adjustment does for you. You are examined, nerve scanned, X-rayed and analyzed. Then you are presented with a Report of Findings. You get your INDIVIDUAL findings (I've heard of some chiropractors who do group reports... Is that like group therapy?) You are explained how you got to your current state of lack of health, and what needs to be done to get you on the Path to Health. Laid out for you is your individual schedule, and exactly how much your Initial Intensive Care should cost. Clarity. Fair Trade.
Costs? Everyone is worried about that, especially these days. Instead of the usual, non-committal "let's try a couple visits for a couple of weeks" (guaranteed failure), you get to know the whole story, time and money, up front... second visit...Report of Findings. (EVERYONE has a schedule according to his or her needs.) Fair trade. Then you get two options. (1) You get a nice discount for pre-paying for care, higher for families. Currently, you get extra off. Ask about our "Fire Sale." (2) You pay full price, 12 visits at a time, in advance. Why? This... chiropractic care... is a process, by which years, decades of Vertebral Subluxation Complex, layer upon layer, is unraveled, to allow you greater expression of life. I do not have people pay day by day, because that involves a buying decision, day by day. When that happens, people tend to look upon that day's adjustment as an aspirin. Visits get spread out and peter out. Failure. Paying a little for something that cannot work is not a deal. I am here for the success of your chiropractic care. I do, I agree to and ask you to agree to what works... nothing more, nothing less. Fair trade.
You can't get any clearer than that!

Corte Madera Chiropractor Explains Knowledge vs. Wisdom
"Knowledge is knowing a fact. Wisdom is knowing what to do with that fact."
- BJ Palmer, D.C., Ph.C., The Developer of Chiropractic"
Most people are so convinced that everything medical is scientific... factual... modern... sophisticated... the cutting edge of technology... that all this is a "given." In other words, there is no real critical analysis, no weighing of evidence, no healthy skepticism. Medicine is just accepted, swallowed whole. This is not to say that one may become disappointed, frustrated or angry at a particular doctor, or hospital, or drug, or procedure. This can and does happen all the time. But the hegemony of Medicine is not questioned.
What happens to those who DO QUESTION Medicine, like me? We are considered unscientific quacks*, maybe even just plain stupid. And, I know, those of you who are my practice members and some of my colleagues. People look at us like we're nuts. But all of this is not logical, scientific or sensible. This is cultural; this is bigotry. Like all bigotry, it is based upon fear of the unknown.
Facts? Research? Money? Institutions? Medicine has got Chiropractic beat on all of that. Sometimes it seems like all of the medical "facts" (what appear as facts, anyway) can and will obliterate Chiropractic by its sheer weight. Things that "everyone knows." The diagnostic parameters (or lack thereof), the drugs, the procedures, supported either by the weight of Tradition, or research. Tons of research, resulting in the next "breakthrough," the latest "medical advance."
Break down all of this medical stuff, and it all comes down to naming a disease or condition... diagnosis, and attacking that disease or condition... treatment. It is all "Outside-in," as if you could bring about health by attacking disease from outside the body with drugs and/or surgery. Despite the popular moniker "health care," Medicine is NOT health care; it is disease care.
How about a very basic fact, that no one with any decent knowledge of biology would dispute.. The nervous system controls and coordinates everything... every part, every function... of the body. Fact. Medical students learn this, too, and then, for their entire careers, they ignore this fact. They return to the mythology of Outside-in. Discarding, ignoring a basic fact of biology is not wisdom; it is foolishness. They lack the WISDOM to comprehend, respect and utilize the basic fact, that they lose in a vast sea of unrelated, far lesser facts. They manipulate these lesser facts to tell your body what to do. They believe that They know better than your Innate Intelligence. This demonstrates a decided LACK of Educated Intelligence, a glaring lack of wisdom.
Chiropractic understands the basic fact; it comprehends and appreciates that the body heals itself, from Above-down, Inside-out. We correct interference to the expression of Life, and we get out of the way. Wisdom!

Do Drugs and Surgery Make You Healthy?
Fess up to it... Deep down, you think that drugs and surgery make you healthy. Isn't that why people go for "health care"... to get healthy? Well...
Time to think... deeply... boys and girls... about your innermost thought about disease, health, the body, Medicine, Chiropractic.
If drugs and surgeries get you healthy, than the people who take the most drugs and have the most surgeries are the healthiest, right? No. Just last Sunday, a very illuminating article came out in the New York Times about the extreme amount of side effects of drugs these days. Check it out.
If you cut your finger, it will heal, without any knowledge of the very complex cascade of biochemical events that cause clotting and healing. No matter. Your Innate Intelligence knows what do do.
Now, what happens if you cut the finger of a dead guy? Will there be any healing? WHY NOT? There is no Innate Intelligence. There is no life. The difference between you and the dead guy is that you are alive. NOTE that even if you give the dead guy drugs, or do surgery (stitches), there will be no healing.
Vertebral Subluxation Complex (VSC) takes away from your full expression of life. Adjustments correct VSC, allowing better expression of life. Chiropractic does this for you. Drugs and/or surgery cannot.

All Professions Have an Objective
This is NOT written by me. We have the honor of a guest blogger, Bill, Decken, D.C.,LCP, Chairman of the Federation of Straight Chiropractors and Organizations, Faculty, Sherman College of Chiropractic
All Professions Have an ObjectiveBill Decken, DC, LCP
Professions are defined by their objective, what it is they try to accomplish. Look at optometry. They are focused on the eye, no pun intended. However, the ophthalmologist is also focused on the eye. So what’s the difference? The Doctor of Optometry has the objective of examining visual acuity. In the process of doing so, he makes note of any abnormal findings that are revealed during the process of his exam. If there is something going on beyond the prescribing of corrective lenses for vision, he makes a recommendation to see a Doctor of Ophthalmology for further evaluation. The Doctor of Ophthalmology is a member of the medical profession and has the objective of treating diseases of the eye, which first need to be diagnosed. I have been to both a Doctor of Optometry and a Doctor of Ophthalmology and neither has ever examined my spine for subluxation, nor have they ever done a diagnostic workup on all of my body systems.
Similarly, in all my years of receiving dental care, my Dentists have never examined my spine for subluxation nor have they ever done a diagnostic work up to determine if my systems were functioning within textbook averages. The objective of the Dentist is to treat the conditions of the teeth and gums, which first require a diagnosis. When a Dentist recognizes a condition of misalignment of the teeth, outside the scope of what he does, he makes a recommendation to see an Orthodontic doctor, one whose objective is to straighten the teeth.
Medicine is divided into specialty areas so that the Medical Doctor can best diagnose and treat a variety of diseases and conditions, which is the medical objective. Again, there is no specialty in medicine that examines a person’s spine for subluxation.
In chiropractic, doctors have the option of choosing their objective. Some Chiropractors choose to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal conditions while others opt to examine the spine for subluxation and make an adjustment if necessary. These chiropractors can be said to be practicing straight chiropractic. If in the process of checking the spine the chiropractor notices anything outside the scope of practice, the patient is referred to the proper health care professional. The Chiropractor with the objective of locating and adjusting any subluxations is performing a service that is not duplicated by any other health care profession. It is a service that is proactive with regards to health care which is why so many families have a Chiropractor on their health care team.
Straight chiropractic care removes subluxations, maintains the brain to body connections and contributes to a healthy nerve system. A properly functioning nerve system helps people stay at their optimum level. Introduce others to chiropractic; the practice of straight, subluxation focused chiropractic is not an academic ideal, but the every day application of chiropractic principles.

San Anselmo neighbor's Big Mistake
I saw neighbors of mine (I live in San Anselmo) today, that I haven't seen in a while. It was most disturbing. Why?
This couple had significant health problems that were obvious to me when we first met, when they moved in, maybe 17, 18 years ago. She had serious mental problems, and Lyme's Disease. He had back and neck pain, and high blood pressure. Of course, I invited them to my office to get checked for Vertebral Subluxation. She said: "I'm a nurse, you know." I said "So? I've had many nurses as practice members. As a nurse, you should understand the limitations and the dangers of Medicine better than most." Anyway, they declined my offer.
On other occasions, I, again, offered my help. Each time, the same "I am a nurse" response. Each time, the both of them, under standard (or substandard care, depending upon your view of that institution that begins with a "K") medical care, were obviously deteriorating. The fact that this couple was/is about the same age as me made it that more poignant.
She, with her mental problems, was on an ever-changing set of psychotropic medications, and getting much worse. Beginning about 10 years ago, she had developed a condition known as akithesia, which is characterized by strong, repetitive twisting, involuntary motions, usually of the head and neck. Obviously, these psychotropic drugs are causing serious brain damage. instead of helping the brain function. Now, she is described as having Alzheimer's. A good medical excuse for the damage that they have caused.
His back and neck problems, of course, worsened over the years. His pain has become more serious, so the his pain medications have continued, and escalated, so much so that now his speech is slurred, perhaps permanently. One hand/forearm is in a brace on a regular basis. He requires a cane, because of a serious loss of balance. He now has "brittle diabetes," in other words, his blood sugar cannot be well-regulated by medication.
What if this couple had listened to me 17, 18 years ago? What if they had the CAUSE of their LACK OF HEALTH... Vertebral Subluxation... corrected, instead of their symptoms attacked by dangerous drugs? How much better, happier, healthier would they be today?
THINK! Who is the ONE person who you know who is like this.... falling, falling, falling... into the Medical Pit of destructive drugs and dangerous surgery? Email them, or call them now. Have a talk with them. Talk some sense into them. Ask them if it would be OK if I called them. Then, call me.
Let's help some people today!

Medicine's "Holy Water" and Big Brother
The State of Washington is proposing a law threatening vaccine exemption.
As I understand it, their current regulation is similiar to California's, where a parent can just opt out his or her child from vaccination. (You thought "No shots, no school?" That's what They want you to think.)
The proposed law will require the exemption from to be signed by a medical provider. That means that the parent will have to take the extra time, pay for an appointment, to be browbeaten about the mythical safety and efficacy of vaccination. Is this some sort of "safety valve" for Big Brother in a white coat, who thinks that we, the people, are too stupid to make out own decisions about our own health and that of our children?
Dr. BJ Palmer, the "Developer of Chiropractic" (son of the founder, Dr. DD Palmer), wrote, "The school is public, but the child is private."

Serious Disease Vs. Marin Sensibilities Vs. Chiropractic Self-Esteem
I know that most people think of going to the chiropractor with back pain or neck pain. Indeed, that's why I originally went, so many years ago. And people get help in this regard, when Medicine has nothing for them, or has already made them worse.
But this misses the point of Chiropractic. Real Chiropractic. Straight Chiropractic. We remove interference, we correct subluxation, thereby allowing the body to heal, to maintain itself better, and, to some degree, to perfect itself. We do not diagnose. We do not treat, NOT EVEN BACKACHE!
Sadly, most chiropractors, especially here in Mellow Marin, have two very serious problems, which leads to a third. They fall prey to all kinds of "New Age" distractions* They are often terminally mellow, becoming so casual with something so critical as the proper practice of Chiropractic, as to lose virtually all clinical value, and all credibility. These two faults lead to a third problem, a lack of self-esteem, and a lack of esteem for Chiropractic. Why does Chiropractic have such a "bad name" here? This is why.
Being a "New Age Supermarket" is a favor to no one. Diminishing the importance and the efficacy of Chiropractic is a disgrace. In the end, it robs people of the opportunity to lead nealthier, fuller lives. It may even cost lives.
A great part of the cost in diminished lives and lost lives is the LACK of serious cases... people in really bad shape... in most chiropractic offices here in Marin. People might say, "Oh, I've been a chiropractic patient for years," yet they go for one or two visits for pain relief, like taking Advil. Light weight cases only, for these lesser offices.
In my office, there are people with Parkinson's, vertigo, ALS, some unnamed neurological disorders, diabetes, various mild to serious digestive conditions, etc. In the past, there have been people with so many serious issues, most getting better, most either able to lessen their drug intake, or, more often, totally eliminate drugs.
Chiropractic is far too important to be diminished by amateurs. Consider only real chiropractors. And tell your friends and family, including those who live far away.

*Some things that one might be considered "New Age" are nonsense, and some are valuable... Chi Gung, yoga, meditation... But none of them are Chiropractic. Therefore, they are distractions, NOT valuable additions. Lao Tsu, 2500 years ago, wrote, "When you walk, walk. When you sit, sit. Above all, do not hesitate."

A Fishy Story: Chiropractic vs. Medicine
I just took down from my bulletin board (if you're a Practice Member, and you don't check the boards...) a full page plus drug ad. The drug? Lovaza. The headline? "TOO MUCH FAT IN YOUR BLOOD?"
This drug, Lovaza, is made from a perfectly good, cheap, and commonly available nutritional supplement, (omega-3) fish oil. What's going on here? They, the drug company, are taking something simple, refining it so that they can patent it and charge a whole lot more for it by making it a prescriptiuon drug. By refining it, they may very likely be making it less effective, and probably dangerous as it leaves the "natural" realm.
This is a trial baloon in one of the dreams of the PMG (Pharmaceutical-Medical-Governmental) Complex, making all supplements available only by prescription. I am sure that they would just love to do that to Chiropractic as well. And you still think that government control is a plus? How about your own judgment?
The simple to complex thing seems to be common in the health arena. Medicine names thousands of diseases (often inaccurately), and follows that by treatments to counteract whatever they think the disease is doing. The complexity comes out in the massive injury and death toll of Medicine.
Chiropractic is simple. Your brain and your nervous system controls and coordinates your body. When there is interference... Vertebral Subluxation.... that control and coordination suffers, resulting in dysfunction, dis-ease and eventually disease. In Chiriopractic, we do not diagnose; we do not treat. We adjust to correct Vertebral Subluxation, and allow the body to do what it is supposed to do. Simple.

Top 10 LEGAL Drugs Linked to Violence
This article was just sent to me. AMAZING! Paxil, Ritalin, Prozac, even the new "wonder drug" to stop smoking, Chantix.
But, then, it's not amazing when you stop and think how drugs can effect the brain. Of course, "medical science" (sometimes an oxymoron) really has no good idea how their drugs actually work in the brain. There are theories. There are short-term studies, for drugs that are meant to be used on a very long-term basis. You sometimes see the cute little molecular cartoons in the TV ads. But they really don't know.
They know even less what these drugs to to the developing brains of children. PARENTS OF MARIN: Heed this warning. Just because The Doctor, the pediatrician, prescribes something for your child, it doesn't mean that it's even remotely safe.
Why not seek health, instead of fighting disease? Come. get checked. Get adjusted. Get well.

Discontent in Marin, and Chiropractic
"Discontent is the first necessity of progress." - Thomas Edison
A large part of the health problems in Marin is excessive, unrealistic happiness... misplaced content.
You want progress... better health? You won't even seek it if you think everything is OK, or, as good as it's going to get.
If you are trusting enough to believe whatever the common medical mythology is, you will not be discontented. You will have no progress.
Two kinds of misplaced content:
Get discontented. Then, and only then, will you look beyond the limitations of common (modern?) Medicine.
Smart enough to be discontented? You need Wellness Chiropractic.
Smart enough to already be under wellness chiropractic care? Well, HOW MANY PEOPLE DO YOU KNOW who should be DISCONTENTED? Do what you can to let them know why and how they should be discontented, and how they will be outrageously content by getting adjusted, and... for the first time... allowing their own Innate Intelligence to do what it is intended to do.

Die for your Diagnosis?
"Some people would rather die, diagnosed, than get well, undiagnosed." Fred Barge, D.C.
What does this mean?
Amongst people who are seriously and chronically ill, who don't fit in the usual, neat medical categories, they tend to get lost in tests. An unending series of tests, from one specialist to the other. When I offer my help, they often respond, "I just have to know what's going on." really?
In Chiropractic, we do not diagnose, nor do we treat. We look to the cause, Vertebral Subluxation, and correct that cause, allowing the body to heal itself. The body, unhindered, will diagnose and treat.
A body with a freer nervous system will tend to be healthier. Simple. Without diagnosis.

Who is the smartest, even in Marin?
How people think about health here in Marin, it's kind of schkitzy. Many profess to be into "alternatives," and thatv they "know" their body. Really? Tell me, how's the tubules in your left kidney doing just about now? How's the exocrine portion of your pancreas? Huh?
Then, for most of these "alternative" folks, at the first sign of real disease, they head right to the "R.D.," the "real doctor." They then think that the R.D., the M.D. really KNOWS. Feh!
Now, I am not saying that I, as a chiropractor, KNOW either. The difference is that I know what I don't know. Your Innate Intelligence KNOWS.
Food for thought, from Dr. Max Delbruck, a biophysicist:
"Any living cell carries with it the experience of a billion years of experimentation by its ancestors."

State of the Union: Marin: You
It's "State of the Union" time in Washington. Here, too, in Marin.
What about the biological state of the union... yours?
Union? What does that really mean? It means parts, be they states, or organs or systems, working together.
A good union, biologically, means good health.
Health is defined by Dorland's Medical Dictionary as "a state of optimum physical, mental and social wellbeing, not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." Webster's says that health is "a condition of wholeness, in which all of the organs are functioning at 100%, all of the time."
As far as "union," I propose that you consider health to be a situation in which all of the parts are working for the good of the whole, and vice versa. Think on that.
In this absurdly allopathic ("against disease"... medical) society, every part is considered separately. Diseases are considered isolated incidents against a particular part or system, attacking that part or system from the outside-in. This might seem all very scientific, but it is biologically absurd.
Chiropractic understands your biological state of the union. When there is a loss of union... control, coordination by the master system,. the nervous system.... there is a loss of health. This leads to dis-ease, and, eventually, to disease. The cause of this "loss of union" is vertebral subluxation. Chiropractic is the ONLY profession that addresses vertebral subluxation, allowing "a more perfect union."

Can Marin Politics Hurt Marin's Health?
Before you get ready to get all upset, and viciously (can we still say that?) defend your political views, RELAX. I am writing on real-life health care realities. Not some ephemeral, wished-for ideological fantasy. Realities.
I fully understand that those of you who are reading this are likely fiercely independent in your personal decisions, including your health care decisions. Otherwise, you'd be one of the medical sheep out there, perhaps articifially chilling out on your Celexa or Prozac, or zoning out on your Ambien.
Since you like to make your own decisions, why hand that power to faceless bureaurocrats?
Getting into that massive thing called ObamaCare, take a look at Section 1311. It takes away, pretty damn directly, clinical authority from doctors. (I can assume chiropractors, accupuncturists, podiatrists, dentists, etc., also.) The decision to take a particular clinical action for you as a patient, or not, will be in, basically, a giant medical cookbook, full of flowcharts.
Don't believe it? I can tell you, way back in my lost years dealing with insurance companies, "cookbook" is the Way, in as cheap a way as possible. You think government is different? It's still somebody else paying, and, as the old saying goes, "Whoever pays the piper call the tune."
As confused as many of my chiropractic colleagues are, thinking that they are some sort of medical appendage, government control would complete their medicalization. Maybe they might be put to work swabbing the floors in the hospital. And you think that anything resembling actual Chiropractic would be covered?
Me? If it gets that far, you'll have to look for me in the hills, somewhere.
I believe in liberty, including the right to choose your health care.

Is Marin really "wholistic?"
As an intellectual, quasi-spiritual hobby, many inhabitants of Marin County view themselves as wholistic.
Are they, really? Or do they just advocate natural/organic-feeling things that seem wholistic? Is there more schtick than substance?
The ultimate "wholistic" is the vitalistic philosophy of Chiropractic, which medical cultists may deride as dogmatic.
B.J. Palmer, D.C., Ph.C., known as the "Developer of Chiropractic" (son of the founder, Dr. D.D. Palmer), wrote:
"Why even cabbages grow from within, outward, and yet many cannot understand the fundamentals of Chiropractic."
These days, very sadly, that includes a lot of chiropractors.

MMPD: Marin Mercury Perceptual Disorder
Today's from page of the Marin Independent Journal ad an article about this little environmental group based in Forest Knolls that "went undercover" to test fish sold in Marin for mercury levels. (Undercover? Were the fish armed? No, only finned.)
The absurdity of this obsession, coupled with the anti-obsession with mercury in vaccines, the real health hazard, propelled me to send the following op editorial to the Marin IJ.
Here ya go:
Yes, perception of health matters, even in allegedly wholistic-thinking Marin, is dysfunctional. Time to re-think health dangers, and solutions. Solutions should include your personal advancement of health, which should include proper nutrition, regular exercise, proper rest, good attitude, and a nervous system without interference.

The absurdity of this obsession, coupled with the anti-obsession with mercury in vaccines, the real health hazard, propelled me to send the following op editorial to the Marin IJ.
Here ya go:
As the Mercedes ad campaign, from a few years ago, went, “Perception is not always reality.” When common misperception causes people to make foolish health decisions, this can be a public health disaster.
The article, and the outcries that will follow, of the Marin-based group, GotMercury.org, brings forth the unthinking prejudice of people who are so quick to blame every disease on alleged environmental problems. Does there exist areas of environmental contamination that may lead to adverse health consequences? Of course. But contrary to “what is good” for environmental organizations, the environment is far cleaner now than it has been in decades. Factories are no longer dumping raw chemicals into rivers and lake, nor are they belching unlimited toxic gases from their smokestacks. The gas we put in our cars has been unleaded now for decades.
Poisoning by mercury? The most dangerous source is from that “most trusted” source, your medical doctor. GotMercury.org specifically warns children and pregnant women about mercury ingestion. Do they think… do you think… that mercury is OK if your doctor says so? They are worried about one part mercury per million in fish, which must go through processes of the digestive system. How many parts per million does a child get when he or she is taken to the pediatrician for three to five vaccinations at a time, injected directly into their little bodies? The average child now gets 71 vaccinations by kindergarten. And what about pregnant moms, that are urged to get flu shots every year, and now pertussis (whooping cough) shots? How much mercury do those developing babies get, through maternal circulation? To what ill effects?
Consider that, in the vaccines, besides the mercury and questionable biological content, there are numerous other toxins, including aluminum, formaldehyde, anti-freeze (phenoxyethanlol), latex, MSG, and beta-propriolactone. When asked about the skyrocketing rates of autism, Type I diabetes, juvenile arthritis, learning disabilities, and asthma, the “medical experts” will cite either the environment or some genetic factors. Has the human genome changed, radically in the last two generations? No. This is ridiculous.
Environmental cause? Fish? Look to the internal environmental catastrophe of mass serial vaccination. You’ve seen those fish-warning posters in restaurants? How about vaccine warning posters in pediatricians’ offices? How can M.D.’s poison you to health?

Hope: Where none existed
I just did a particularly wonderful progressive exam. (In this practice, I actually re-examine people every 12 visits, so that I can monitor, objectively/scientifically, how they are progressing. I know that I've heard people complain about their previous chiropractors, "He just kept adjusting the same thing, over and over. I never got checked after that first time.")
In this allopathic (medical) culture, so many people are told to "learn to live with it." (In some countries, people are told when to die.) This is NOT the limitation of a particular person, nor the limitation of a particular condition or disease. It is the limitation of Medicine.
Yes, I know that the common perception of Medicine is all-knowing, all-seeing, the embodiment of Science and Knowledge. "If They don't have the cure now, it's just around the corner." What a bunch of you-know-what!
With chiropractic care, there are possibilities that do not exist in the "normal" medical world. You can call chiropractors "quacks" if you choose, but why do they succeed where there is no hope elsewhere? Could it be that Chiropractic is in tune with biological law, whereas medicine is not?

Ethics and Chiropractic
I know that many people are mistrusting of chiropractors. Considering many of the cockamamie things that some chiropractors offer, and try to pass off as Chiropractic, this mistrust is understandable.
I was just reading on the nedt about an East Bay chiropractor being investigated for selling to other chiropractors those "disk decompression tables," the one where they claim 86% result for herniated disks. Frankly, I find chiropractors who hawk this kind of gimmick usually lack adequate adjusting skills, and always lack knowledge and understanding of the Principle of Chiropractic, and the proper intent of Chiropractic.
Real... straight... chiropractors, do not treat herniated disks, nor back pain, in general. Nor do we treat any diseases. We don't treat anything. (Diagnosis and treatment is the definition of Medicine. Chiropractic is NOT part of Medicine.) Straight chiropractors correct interference to the expression of health, Vertebral Subluxation, so that your body is free to heal itself. That's it.
Have people come to me, and gotten well, with herniated/slipped/ruptured/degenerated disks? All the time. Have I "cheated the surgeon?" More times than I can count. But not once did I treat the disk problem. I corrected the cause, liek the name of this blog.
Real... straight chiropractors do not need gimmicks like disk decompression tables. We appreciate the fact that the Power that made the body heals the body. Why add gimmicks?
For more on Ethics and Chiropractic, take a read on my website.

Chiropractors who are Wrong
So many people think that Chiropractic is about back pain. Wrong! But this is NOT your fault. This is the fault of so many chiropractors who have lost their way.
The purpose of Chiropractic is the detection, analysis and correction of Vertebral Subluxation (VS). VS is when vertebrae are out of normal anatomical/physiological juxtaposition, thereby interfering with the functioning of the brain and the nervous system. Is that a big deal? You betcha! Why? Your brain and your nervous system runs every system, every organ, every tissue, every cell in the body. When there is subluxation, that running, that control and coordination, is out of control. Health is harmony within. Subluxation interferes with health. Gentle, specific scientific chiropractic adjustments correct VS, allowing the body to heal itself, function at a higher level, and even begin to perfect itself.
If you have been to a chiropractor who merely "treated" your back pain, even if you were satisfied, you were not offered the full benefit, or even half the benefit, of real (straight) Chiropractic.
Demand nothing less than the real thing, for you, and your whole family, and for everyone you know.
What do you think?
