Multiple sclerosis... lupus... Hashimoto's... scleroderma... rheumatoid arthritis... psoriasis... ulcerative colitis... Type I diabetes...

What do these diseases have in common? They are all auto-immune, which means that the body is attacking its own tissue, as if it were foreign tissue. How could the body go so haywire? Well, the immune system, like every other system in the body, is controlled by the brain and the nervous system. That control can be seriously interfered with by the presence of Vertebral Subluxation Complex (VSC)*, causing the received signals to the immune system to be either too little or too much. Either can cause dysfunction, leading to dis-ease, leading to actual and serious disease.

While people think that most disease is from lack, in actuality, most subluxation creates too much stimulation, leading to hyperactivity, such an auto-immune diseases.

What does Medicine offer for these maladies? Well, they tell you right off that there is no cure, and that they can only manage symptoms. One is depressing, and the other is downright dangerous. Besides the lesser drugs used for treating the lesser symptoms, the main drugs are either corticosteroids, which are extreme anti-inflammatories, or drugs like Humira or Enbrel which are designed to attack the immune system, or cancer chemotherapy agents. Look up the side effects of these drugs. Go ahead! The crazy thing is that they work to suppress the immune system, which can and does end up at the other end of immune system problems... CANCER. This is just plain nuts! (No, because your doctor said it's OK does not make it OK.)

What approach would make sense? How about, instead of fighting disease, you pursue health?

Chiropractic does not treat any diseases, including auto-immune diseases. We do correct interference to the nervous system, allowing the immune system to begin to function more normally. Does this sound infinitely safer? Saner? More workable? What do you think?

Many people who are very sick get defensive about their diagnosis and their specialists. This is understandable, for it is difficult to cope with the suffering that they are experiencing, and the hopelessness imparted to them by so-called "medical science." It is time to calm down and think rationally. The only real healing comes from within. Scientific, specific, gentle chiropractic adjustments allow that to happen.

More Flu Mass Psychosis

The seasonal flu shot frenzy is in full swing. You go into CVS or Walgreen's for some toilet paper, and you have to pass 67 signs telling you to get the flu shot today... a "new service of our pharmacists." One of these drug stores gives you a discount on your purchases when you get the shot. Safeway gives you 10% off if you get shot there. Gee, how many flu shot discounts can you get?

How many places can you get the flu shot? We drove through Sebastopol a few weeks ago, and passed a hardware store (yes, a hardware store) that had a sandwich board outside hawking flu shots. In a couple of years, we might be able to get the flu shot at the drive-in windows of Jack-in-the-Box and MacDonalds. This may give a new meaning to the term "drive-by shootings." Both can be deadly, in the end.

This whole obsession with flu shots is nuts, as if we didn't have an immune system to protect us. As is we didn't have Chiropractic to allow your immune system to operate at full efficiency. As if the flu shot really worked. As if the flu shot was safe. Nuts! Read the article I wrote on this in the San Francisco Chronicle some years ago, "Alternative to the Sting of a Failed Flu Vaccine.".

This whole thing is based upon the scientifically false, fear-based schtick of Medicine that your body is just a stupid piece of read meat walking around, without any inherent intelligence, and that it must rely upon the constant interventions of Medicine just to exist. How stupid! In Chiropractic, we understand that healing and health come from Above-down, Inside-out. We correct interference, and your immune system, as well as every other system, is free to do what it should.

Worried about the flu? get adjusted. Worried that you've gotten the flu shot, poisons and all, and what effects this will have on your health? get adjusted. Getting a migraine from seeing all those flu shot signs? Well, you get the idea.

Bogus "Romney as Murderer" Ad vs. Chiropractic Sense by Dr Harte

There was the infamous ad, two weeks ago, with the out-of-work steel worker accusing Romney of murdering his wife by laying him off, thus depriving his wife of "health care." It turns out that she had health insurance for two more years under her employment, until she was injured and left work. Then, there was a period with no insurance. Some time after that, she was diagnosed with cancer, and died shortly thereafter.

OK, political ads will be sleazy. In this arena, the CORRECTING THE CAUSE blog, let's leave the politics, and the ethics or lack thereof of that ad aside.

Behind that ad is the assumption that, if that steel worker's wife had "health insurance," or "access," then she would still be alive today. This is, on the face of it, stupid!

Cancer does not occur overnight. That woman had to have had that cancer cooking for years if not decades. Before that, her immune system had to be asleep for a long time, to allow that cancer to develop.

Would "access" to "health care" have prevented that cancer? Absolutely not! Would it have caught it earlier? Probably not significantly. And, if it did, the outcome probably would have been the same. You really want to know the insane belief behind that ad? "If you have great access to 'health care,' you will never get really sick, and you will never die." Like I said, this whole thing is stupid.

The best thing you can do for future health? Be under regular, wellness chiropractic care, allowing your immune system, and every other system, to function properly, without interference.

Tale of Two Very Smart Very Cool Women

Most people confine their chiropractic thinking to back and neck pain. This extends from themselves to talking to others about Chiropractic. Sure, to suffer with back or neck pain without considering Chiropractic is foolish. But to not consider Chiropractic as part of Health is foolish as well.

Today I got a call from a practice member who is relatively new, still in Initial Intensive Care. She asked me to call a neighbor of hers whose husband is facing prostate cancer surgery. I did, and I had a long talk with that neighbor. She told me that this practice member had told her that everything is controlled by the nervous system, which was "a new concept" to her. It is the basic concept of Chiropractic, which is not at all subject to debate, for it is basic biological fact. It is a simple concept, yet virtually unknown among the general public. I thought, "If everyone knew this, everyone would be under chiropractic care, as it should be." I was heartened that this practice member understood this, and was able and willing to pass this on to someone else so that a loved one could benefit. I was especially heartened that she would go so far beyond the back/neck thing, all the way to cancer.

If any of you are getting nervous or angry that that Dr. Harte is now claiming a cure for cancer, relax. I am doing no such thing. (Cancer has been a "third rail" for chiropractors. "Third rail?" That's a New York term. The third rail is the rail in the subway where the massive electric current runs to run the trains. You touch that rail, you're toast, literally. Me? I am immune to such things. I tell the truth, no matter what.) What I told the woman is that, whether her husband gets the surgery or not, whether his prostate cancer is slow or fast ("they" don't know), he will be better off with less nerve interference, Vertebral Subluxation Complex. With less nerve interference, his immune system (which protects against cancer), along with every other system, will work better. Simple. I told her, specifically, that I am not offering a cure for his cancer. She said "Good. If you did, I would run the other way as fast as I can." Smart woman.

And damn smart for considering chiropractic care for her husband when most people totally lose their minds to the much-exalted specialists.

Perhaps Chiropractic is more for thinking people.

Sneaky California Becomes Medically Fascist California, Charges Corte Madera Chiropractor

"The school is public. The child is not."   - BJ Palmer, D.C., Ph.C.

It has long been a disgrace the extent to which the California "philosophical" vaccine exemption has been a well-kept secret. Otherwise intelligent, well-informed parents have been led to accept the lie of "No shots, no school." The law itself calls vaccination "mandatory," while is provides for this exemption. A parent will not find the exemption form with all the dozens of things on the counters and wall of the schools. A parent has to ask for the form, which is kept out of sight.

Now, our legislators are looking to gut even this semi-hidden parental choice. AB 2109 will force parents, looking to save their child from the dangers of some or all vaccinations, to spend money and time to go to the pediatrician. (Not every parent has a regular pediatrician. My wife and I didn't see any need for a pediatrician for our son. I adjusted him from birth. Did my son get any shot? No!!!!!!!! Not a one!)

At the pediatrician's office (if this bill goes through), the parent is to be "educated." The obvious intent is for the parent to be intimidated. At the very least, the parent will be inundated with inaccurate medical BS. Then, what if the pediatrician then refuses to sign?

Vaccination is not based upon science. It is based upon cultural norms based upon the deification of the medical profession and the grotesque avarice of Big Pharma, no matter what the price in sick and dead children.

You want protection against diseases for your children? That's what the immune system is for. Get your children adjusted, making sure that there is no interference to the nervous system running the immune system.

Whether a parent wants his or her children to be vaccinated, it is the choice of the parent, NOT the state.

My wife's cousin just passed away from cancer. His family bragged that they got free care for being part of an experimental program. It seems that part of the agreement involved what happens to the body. I don't know about you, but this strikes me as Medicine using sick people like lab rats.

The family said that he (the cousin who just passed) was happy to be part of this experiment, "so that they might find a cure, and others might live." Admirable, but naive. How long have They been searching for The Cure, while making billions of dollars, while, in most cases, having little good effect and much bad effect?

The Cure? For cancer, like everything else, the cure is within. The medical anti-scientific fantasy is that The Cure (I am being respectful, since I capitalize their "Cure") is to be found outside the body. For Medicine, it is always Outside-in... drugs...in, surgery... in. It is never possible to find the right answer if you ask the wrong question. Cancer is a failure of the immune system. The immune system, like every system, is run by the nervous system. If there is interference to this running, it becomes impossible for the immune system to function normally. Why not restore function to the system that is supposed to protect us from cancer?

It continues to amaze me how these medical people hold out hope with various cockamamie new treatments. And then, after people die, somehow the families are grateful. I don't get it.

Oh, for those crazies who look to turn chiropractors in for whatever, please note: Chiropractic is NOT a cure for cancer. Chiropractic isn't a cure for anything.  A straight chiropractor simply corrects interference, allowing the body to function at a higher level. Simple. And it doesn't take billions of dollars either.

The ALWAYS SICK Child by Corte Madera chiropractor Dr Harte

Does it seem like you’re always at the pediatrician’s? Is your child sick almost constantly… colds, flu, earaches, sore throats?

I understand. That was me as a child, back in the 50’s. I’d get colds that just about ran into one another, most of the year. I’d get terrible earaches, once so bad that I thought that I was going to die. I remember asking my mother to bring me my pet turtle, “Mickey,” so I could say goodbye to him. I had bad digestion, from top to bottom. I was taken to one gastro-enterologist after another, and had many, many “G-I” X-ray series. (It’s a wonder I’m not dead from all of that very serious radiation exposure.)

Strep throat was the most constant of my childhood sicknesses. My mother took me to the doctor. I took the antibiotics, the strep throat went away, and then it came back in a week or two.

Tonsils used to be the culprit, but that operation has been discredited. Then came the tubes in the ears. That has fallen by the wayside too. Popular antibiotics come and go, getting ever stronger and more risky as the years go by. I know. You’re told that they are safe and effective. Better look them up yourself.

I’ve looked on the net to see the latest that the pediatricians have to offer, at least as an explanation. It’s the same old stuff… wash your hands, and “germs are everywhere.” OK, it’s good to wash your hands, but not overly so. All these germicidal soaps end up producing more dangerous bacteria, and some are suspected of being carcinogenic. You are your kids do not need more weird chemicals in your environment.

I’ve seen a lot of natural remedies talked about on various blogs, to help kids who are always sick. Most if not all are safer than antibiotics, but they are not the answer. Why? They are remedies… treatments. They are designed to “stimulate” or “support” the immune system. What about if a child’s immune system is over-stimulated? Then you get into auto-immune diseases like asthma, Type I diabetes, eczema, etc. So, what to do?

Your “always sick” child needs to get checked for vertebral subluxation, interference to his or her nervous system. Why? Because the nervous system controls and coordinates every cell, tissue, organ and system in the body, and adapts that body to the environment. This includes the immune system. “Adapting to the environment?” That includes whatever “is going around.” You get your child checked for vertebral subluxation, and corrected for vertebral subluxation, by a straight chiropractor. (A straight chiropractor is the real thing, from both a historical and philosophical basis. He or she is not concerned with back pain. He or she is concerned with the body expressing as much life force as possible.)

Bottom line? Kids that come to see me barely ever get sick. When my son was in grade school and everybody else had colds, flu, coughing, sneezing, he wouldn’t get sick. At worst, he’d feel a little off and say “Daddy, please adjust me.” Twenty minutes later he’d be better.

Chiropractic does not fight disease. It allows the body to express more health, more life.

One Drug Leads to Another, says Corte Madera Chiropractor Dr Harte

I know someone who is currently suffering from antibiotic-resistant pneumonia. There's been more and more talk in scientific circles about this problem. This is a monster created in the Castle of Medicine.

Medicine, with its innate arrogance, always wants to fool Mother Nature. This is foolish. We are accustomed to the idea that we big animals evolve. What we forget is that the tiniest organisms, like bacteria, evolve, too. Because of their rapid rate of reproduction, they evolve infinitely faster than we do. In her 1995 book, The Coming Plague, Laurie Garrett postulated that because of our abuse of antibiotics, we have advanced microbial evolution by three million years. Now, we see the sad, sometimes fatal results.

Any relevant history to this person with pneumonia? Sure. She has asthma, and is being treated with corticosteroids, which suppress the immune system.

Isn't it simpler, safer, SANER, to get adjusted, allowing your body to heal, to function normally?

Dr Harte: Making a Healthy Marin Sick

I just sent this as an op ed to the Marin IJ:

TRYING TO MAKE A HEALTHY MARIN SICK?

The recent column by Jason Eberhart-Phillips, M.D., Marin’s Public Health Officer (“To Parents who skip kids’ vaccinations”), condemns, even belittles Marin parents who dare think for themselves, and act in the best interests of their children (as opposed to the interests of the State). It is the medical party line, more representative of a state religion rather than science. His comments are girded by his certainty that the State knows better than the parent, and that the State has the right, or should have the right, to force whatever medical measures they choose upon children, and, indeed, adults. The party line is even reflected in IJ headlines. The second page headline (for the article in question) is “Taking chances,” alluding that non-vaccinating parents are not responsible. Back in September, when I faced off against Dr. Eberhart-Phillips at the Marin Board of Supervisors meeting, the headline was “County: Students should have inoculation chance.” That was never the issue. Kids should have a chance at real health, which does not come from the artificially-induced, abnormal  immune responses that vaccinations produce.

The issue here is vaccination, and the numbers/percentages of parents who utilize the “personal belief exemption,” or PBE, which Dr. Eberhart-Phillips decries. Statewide, the PBE rate for incoming kindergarteners is now 2.3%. Marin has the highest rate of health sanity, of PBE, of 7.2%. So, Marin parents are way ahead of the curve, seeing the limitations and the dangers of serial vaccination. Here, a growing number of parents are open enough to see past the medical party line, and willing to buck authority in order to protect the health of their children. It is the children who get vaccinated who are truly at risk.

Vaccination, especially serial vaccination (up to 71 vaccinations before kindergarten), causes a state of chronic inflammation, often in the brain where it is referred to as encephalitis (often low-level.) While some may still assume that vaccination is scientific, safe and effective, we have seen the health of children devastated in the last two generations. Autism, various learning disabilities, Type I diabetes, juvenile arthritis, asthma… once rare, have become commonplace. The ONLY thing that has changed in those two generations is that the number of vaccinations has increased several-fold. Besides questionable biological material, vaccines contains a witch’s brew of known toxic substances… aluminum, mercury, formaldehyde, latex, phenoxyethanol (anti-freeze), glutaraldehyde… Many of these substances are directly neurotoxic, so why is it so hard to figure out the autism connection? What about sub-clinical physical and mental losses? You still think that vaccination is scientific? What can possibly be scientific, or logical, or even reasonable, about poisoning children to get them healthy?

We all have immune systems, which receive control and coordination from the nervous system. Chiropractors appreciate that health only comes from the inside-out. Correct interference to the control and coordination of the body by the nervous system, and the body becomes healthier. This is different, and far superior to fighting, or even preventing disease. The fact that more parents in Marin are saying “no” to Big Brother in a White Coat,” rejecting serial vaccination, is a cause for joy. Some even have sense enough to bring their kids in for regular wellness chiropractic care. Maybe Dr. Eberhart-Phillips would like to regulate that, too.

A long time ago, Thomas Jefferson wrote: “If people let government decide what foods to eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny.”

Dr Harte Tells of ANOTHER Perfect Medical Storm in Novato

Some weeks ago, I ran into a woman who looked only in her 50's, who was walking unsteadily, using a cane. I introduced myself, and offered my assistance as a chiropractor.

"I know what's wrong with me," she said firmly. "I have multiple sclerosis." I said "So?," and began to explain how the body really works, that everything is controlled and coordinated by the brain and the nervous system. In the case of MS, this is one of those nasty auto-immune diseases,. which means that the immune system is way overactive, so overactive that it attacks the body's own tissues as if they belonged to someone else. In the case of MS, it is the sheaths on the nerves that are attacked. (NOTE: These nerve sheaths are composed primarily of cholesterol. Something to think about.) I explained that if interference to the proper functioning of the nervous system, Vertebral Subluxation Complex, were corrected through chiropractic adjustment, the immune system would have the opportunity to begin to function more normally.

Simple, but too complex for this unfortunately medically obsessed woman.

The tale she told was a medical nightmare... a perfect medical storm. years ago, she was prescribed HRT, hormone replacement therapy. This was hawked by the medical fools for 40 years, telling women that taking hormones will keep them young, and will prevent heart attack, stroke and cancer. In 2002, the study came out, revealing that the truth was exactly the opposite. Instead of preventing these things, HRT CAUSED these things. Now I had been warning women against HRT since I have been in practice, in 1981, way before this 2002 study. How did I know? Biological common sense, something that just about doesn't exist in the field of Medicine. Ask me for the details.

Anyway, from the HRT, this woman developed breast cancer. From the radiation treatment for the breast cancer, she developed the MS. And from the drugs she is currently taking for the MS, designed to attack the overactive immune system, she will likely (I am sorry to say) get some new cancer. Cancer is the result of a hypoactive, a low-functioning immune system. And on it goes.

No matter the suffering, the string of abject failures, the absurdity, she still believes. She is a true Medical Cultist. To those of you who may be in this category, I ask to to think, and to reason. I ask you to consider that Outside-in medical thinking is medieval, and wrong. I ask you to consider that health only comes from Above-down, Inside-out.

Faith in Medicine, faith in your doctor, will not heal you or save you. Only your own Innate Intelligence can do that.

Marin Chiropractor Dr Harte asks "When Do You Need Chiropractic?"

One of my practice members is struggling with an ugly case of leukemia. I wish that she had began care here years ago.

Before the Chiropractic Board police and assorted medical cultists get their allopathic noses out of joint (nothing worse than a subluxated nose, is there?), I am not making a claim that chiropractic care prevents cancer, or fights cancer. (I will leave it to the medical boys and girls to make unfounded claims.) What I am saying is that the body will function better, including resisting disease, if its nervous system is free from subluxation. If parts get the right message, they can do the right thing. If not... This is why you get adjusted. Pain relief is only a nice side effect.

Cancer generally takes years, often decades to develop. It is a long-term failure of your immune system. If your immune system gets a compromised message, how can it function properly? You can look for all the secondary triggers in the world. Get the immune system right, and the chances of cancer fade.

So, how do you know, years in advance, if you are going to get leukemia or any other kind of cancer? You don't. Just like you don't know if you are going to get a stroke or a heart attack of some weird auto-immune disease. Prevention is not Medicine's version, "early detection." There, you are already sick. How about you don't get sick?

You do lifetime wellness chiropractic care because it allows your body and mind to express Life. Simple. If you want to be looked at really weirdly, we can do a take-off from all the drug commercials. next time you go in for a medical visit, ask the doctor "if Life is right for you." He or she might suggest an anti-psychotic. Oh, well...

Corte Madera Chiropractor Exposes New Drug Horror

Canada just approved Benlystatm, or belimumab, for the treatment of lupus. 


Is lupus a disease associated with terrible suffering? Yes! So, now that there is is new drug for it, shouldn't we all be jumping up and down in excitement? No. Why?


Lupus, or more properly systematic lupus erythematosus (SLE), is one of the auto-immune diseases, such as MS (multiple sclerosis), psoriasis, Hashimoto's (thyroid), rheumatoid arthritis.... What happens is that the immune system is overactive so that it attacks the body's own tissue as if it belonged to someone else. Particular auto-immune diseases will hit a certain organ or organs. Anyway, the body attacking itself is a very nasty thing.


It appears that, through some rather sophisticated manipulation of certain proteins involved in the immune response, Benlystatm inhibits immune response, thereby seeking to reduce symptoms of lupus. (Don't even think that this drug makes anyone better.) While the FDA approved it in March, even though it was only marginally effective. Apparently, 11 patients needed to be treated for one to benefit. Hot stuff, huh? Could you imagine if Chiropractic benefited only one out of 11 people? On top of that... they left the most seriously ill out of the study. (You still think that the government is there to protect you? You still trust Medicine? WAKE UP!!!)


Benlystatm is not being evaluated for the treatment of other auto-immune diseases. That's the process of broadening the market. You check out the other drugs currently in use for the other auto-immune disease. All horribly dangerous. Why?


Medicine, as we commonly know it, is allopathic medicine. "allo" is "against." "pathy" is "disease." So, the overriding strategy is to attack the disease. "Hypo," or under-functioning functions are made "hyper,"
or over-functioning functions, and vice versa. Because lupus, or rheumatoid, or psoriasis is from an over-functioning immune system, the immune system is attacked, made to function at a lower level, to fight the disease. 


Sometimes this works, sort of, but there is always a price. That price of taking these immuno-suppressant drugs is a chronically hypo-functioning immune system, that leads to the things that you will see listed as the side effects of these drugs, cancer, leukemia, pneumonia, tuberculosis, incurable fungal infections, etc. EXPECT THE SAME FROM THIS NEW DRUG, Benlystatm, if not worse!


Immune function, like every function in the body, is regulated by the nervous system, which carries out the wisdom of your Innate Intelligence. That Intelligence knows when you need more immune response, or less, and where; when you need insulin to be released, and when not, when your heart needs to beat faster, or slower. But if there is interference to this control and coordination by the nervous system, Vertebral Subluxation Complex (VSC), dis-ease occure, leading to disease.


Why not CORRECT THE CAUSE? Why not?

On the question of autism causation, I wonder if the powerful special interest consortium, whom I refer to as the PMG (Pharmaceutical-Medical-Governmental) Complex, is testing just how far it can go with creating false direction utilizing research that is blatantly irrelevant. Some of this research, surveyed as the cover story of the current issue of the journal, “Neuron,” talks of one thing that we already knew, that males are more susceptible. These studies talk of “de novo events”… mutations, which are “ultrarare,” and are more plentiful in autistic than non-autistic children. OK. This means that the autistic kids have been damaged. We know this, too. This does not answer the real question, “Damaged by what?” Media’s coverage, and the common assumption, is just that “it’s genetic.” This answers nothing!

I know the knee-jerk reaction of many… Modern Medicine IS Science Medicine has done so much for society. Medicine can do no wrong. This mind-set goes on to, automatically, declare anyone who dares criticize or present truly alternative thinking as just plain nuts. As an expert in biological common sense, as a chiropractor for 30 years, I am used to being labeled a “quack” by mindless medical sheep. Scientific racism.

Fact: Autism, a terribly tragic affliction, has gone from being virtually unknown to now affecting one in 110 children in this country. (When you hear the popular “We can diagnose better now,” just stop and think how obvious autism is.) The emotional costs to its victims and their families are incalculable. What about the financial costs? Especially in these harsh economic times, associated costs can easily bankrupt a family. The escalating costs to insurance companies, to government health agencies, and to the public school system may very well play a large role in bringing down the whole system. Think… a lifelong disease, often with total disability, beginning in early childhood, occurring at skyrocketing rates.

From the first whispers of possible genetic causation (of autism), I knew two things. (1) The medical research industry will be gearing up for a massive infusion of work, influence and cash, to chase something that cannot be found. (2) The entire PMG Complex will go anywhere, say anything, do anything, to protect the “holy water” of their (unscientific) cult… vaccination. Yes, this is “CYA,” just like in politics. This has all the grace of Congressman Weiner, with infinitely more societal damage.

This genetic “tilting at windmills” is easy to sell to an adoring public who awaits the next medical “miracles.” Here’s scientific fact for you. Genetic diseases are stable within the population, over time. The human genome has not been radically altered in the last two generations. So, the genetic causation theory of autism is patently wrong, so wrong that, in my view, it demonstrated the (medical) gullibility of society.

The other group of autism causation-pushers are the environmental crowd, claiming it must be something in the environment, some kind of mass poisoning. Well, they are right, but not in the way that they imagine. The ultimate environment is within the body itself. If you pollute it, on a serial basis, beginning at birth, and continuing throughout childhood, there has got to be serious consequences. When at least some of those pollutants are specifically neurotoxic (aluminum, mercury, MSG, formaldehyde), how can you not expect brain damage? As the number of vaccines, and the number of doses rose, so did autism. The state of New Jersey has the highest autism rate, one in 90. They also have the highest number of mandated vaccinations.

Want to save the health of children and reduce a massive financial burden that is crushing both families and the whole system? Take a very important step to correct interference to the function of your child’s immune system. Get him or her under regular wellness chiropractic care. (This is not a substitute for vaccination. Arthritis, Iatrogenic* Cancer and Chiropractic Results

May is Arthritis Awareness Month. So, let's get aware!

The word "arthritis"... what does it mean? I know that it comes with a lot of baggage... "you're getting old"... "Learn to live with it"... "There's nothing anyone can do" But where does the word come from?

"Arth" is Latin for "joint." "Itis" means inflammation, or swelling. For the most part, the reason a joint hurts is because it's inflamed. So, here is what your "genius" doctor has done, providing you with something that you think is of value, a diagnosis... arthritis. He or she has translated "hurtful joint," in English, into Latin, "arthritis." Brilliant! Astounding clinical acumen!

So, the word doesn't really have much meaning. But you still have a problem. Now, are you more interested in naming your problem (diagnosis) solving it and getting well?

Rheumatoid arthritis is an auto-immune disease, one of those conditions where the immune system is out of control... hyperactive, attacking your own tissue. In this case, that tissue is your joints. Back when Medicine was less intrusive, anti-inflammatories were prescribed. Now, they prescribe drugs that attack/suppress the immune system, which can lessen the expression of rheumatoid symptoms. The problem is, by chemically swinging the pathological pendulum of the immune system to the other extreme, side effects include pneumonia, toberculosis, leukemia, cancer. It's OK with them. Other specialists, other drugs to the rescue!

Osteoarthritis is kind of a wear and tear thing, kind of like the tires on your car wearing out funny because the wheels are out of balance and allignment. Easy to understand, but They don't. They pump you full of srong anti-inflammatories. Now inflammation, like every other syptom, is your body's, your Innate's effort to heal. When you interfere with inflammation, sure it feels better, but your joint are damaged further. (So is your cardiovascular system.) But that's OK with Them. Artificial joint time!

Then there is gouty arthritis, basically a chemical imbalance, excess uric acid, causing inflammation of joints. So, there you go with anti-inflammatories and medication to reduce uric acid. The latter involve substantial risk to the kidneys.

None of these medical treatments get to the cause. They cover up symptoms, causing more problems. Such is the way of medicine.

Chiropractic addresses cause. Gout? The nervous system regulates the body's metabolism. Why not correct interference to the nervous system? This is what chiropractic adjustments do.

Osteoarthritis? The joints themselves, as well as the muscles attaching to those joints, are under control of the nervous system. Why not correct interference, Vertebral Subluxations? Unlike most chiropractors, I go beyond the spine. I check and adjust extremities. So, if you are having these problems in a knee, or your hands, and there is misallignment, don;t you think that those parts will function better, heal better, if they are adjusted?

Rheumatoid? The immune system, too, is run by your nervous system. Correct interference, and your immune system will tend towards proper function. this is in sharp contract to medical over-correction, which can end up in something as bad as cancer. [*The word "iatrogenic" means "physician-caused."]

The choice should be clear. Now go talk to friends and family who suffer from any of these types of arthritis. Invite them to the office. You might even save them from iatrogenic cancer.

Sciaticas, Cancer and Chiropractic in Marin

There goes that word again, forbidden to pass the lips, or the fingertips (blogging) of a "lowly" chiropractor. Undoubtedly, allopathic (medical) extremists will be running to their phones to report me to the CA Board of Chiropractic Executioners (examiners). What else is new? Those in that office, whom you think actually protect you from incompetent and unethical practice, may actually encourage incompetence and poor ethics. They certainly believe that chiropractors should be very much "in the back of the bus." They don't want us to get "uppity." They like to leave all of the "uppity" to whom they consider our (chiropractic's) betters, the medical profession. I have no doubt that they have never heard the words of Benjamin Rush, M.D., one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence: "When the practice of Medicine is restricted to one class of men, this is a fragment of the monarchy."

More important here is the restriction, not of Medicine (which I have no interest in practicing or imitating), but of the thinking about, talking about and dealing with serious, even life-threatening disease.

A lot of of Marin people think that they are "alternative." Sure, they'll go to the accupuncturist, the homeopath, the (lowly, unscientific, unserious) chiropractor, for a few visits, for little things like a touch of sciatica, a strained elbow, non-migraine headaches, a little fatigue. Real challenges, like Parkinson's, serious heart disease, diabetes, multiple sclerosis, and even the forbidden one to say.... here goes... cancer... it's a whole different story with the so-called alternative Marinites. The first hint of a "real symptom", they'll run for their specialist, who will often send them running for the hospital.

Even after the fact, after the massive treatment, if they are still alive, the typical "alternative" Marinite still has absolute faith in Medicine, no matter the failure to produce good result. They continue to keep the inconsequential stuff to the "alternative" practitioners. And they, including my lesser colleagues, go right along with it.

I, for one, do not. I do my job. I let everyone know that I correct interference to the nervous system, Vertebral Subluxation. That, VS, can degrade the function of any and every organ and system, including the heart, including the immune system, which protects us from cancers as well as infections.

I salute a very intelligent woman who began care here today. She has been challenged by two kinds of cancer. She understands the relationship of Vertebral Subluxation to a crippled immune system. She understands that this.... Chiropractic... is no guarantee, and is certainly no treatment. She gets that this is here best bet to having her body work optimally, so that it can fight the cancer its own way, as determined by her Innate Intelligence.

I call upon those who have serious, life-threatening diseases, including cancer. Come. get checked for vertebral subluxation. Get adjusted. Allow your body to fight what it must, with the experience of millenia of evolution, which is a lot smarter than the latest medical "breakthroughs."

I am here to help. I am here to save lives. (I guess that that's not sitting in the back of the bus, huh?)

Since Newsweek brought up vaccination non-compliance...
